Erik has served as chair of the board since March 2021, providing the strategic vision and governance that keep the Center sustainable and rooted in its community. He is a strategic leader with more than twenty years of experience blending behavioral science with business strategy. A long-time Elder in the Presbyterian tradition, he has co-led a missions council, co-founded “One Community” to advocate for cultural acceptance, and supported DuPage PADS and Community Arts Partners. A resident of the Wheaton and Glen Ellyn area since 1996, he is also a fine art photographer drawn to nature and historic architecture.

Matthew joins the board with a lifelong commitment to the Presbyterian tradition and a background in global strategic consulting. Ordained an Elder at seventeen, he has served the church for decades, including fifteen years as Clerk of Session at First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton. He is drawn to the Center's integration of professional counseling with pastoral care, especially its support of clergy. Recently retired from a career in management and technology consulting, he held executive roles at AT&T, EY, and IBM, and founded “ROMEOs” to help retired men build new friendships.

Lora has been a member of First Congregational for over 25 years and is active in its music programs as a harpist, guitarist, choir member, and member of the recorder group. She majored in music at Middlebury College before changing direction to attend Harvard Law School, practising law at Chapman and Cutler in Chicago and at Sara Lee Corporation. She lives in Glen Ellyn with her husband, has three grown sons and a daughter, and works at the Glen Ellyn Walk-in Ministry.

Doug brings operational and financial experience to the board, with a career spent in corporate finance and organizational leadership. His background includes managing complex budgets, strengthening operational processes, and supporting effective human resources practice. On the board he focuses on transparency, thoughtful stewardship of resources, and keeping the Center's financial foundation solid so its clinical team can continue providing high-quality care. A long-time resident of the western suburbs, he cares deeply about the wellbeing of the local community.

Father Larry blends a lifelong career in technology and sales with more than a quarter century of ministry. His connection to the Center spans over twelve years, beginning through a friendship with Dr. Charles Alcorn. A “second career” priest, he entered seminary after a 32-year marriage and the death of his wife, and has served throughout the Diocese of Joliet since his ordination 26 years ago. Now in semi-retirement he assists Catholic churches across the Wheaton area. Before the priesthood he led data processing for Springfield Public Schools and held management roles at NCR and CAI.

Ann has lived in Wheaton for 45 years and has served several DuPage County non-profits, including We Grow Dreams, Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, and Watts of Love. A member of First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton for 34 years, she has served as Deacon, Elder, and coordinator of the Caritas Ministry for more than a decade. She worked for over 25 years at The Advertising Agency Group and now works at the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce. She visits Wyndemere Senior Living and Hadley Middle School with her therapy dog, Fiona, and is passionate about access to mental health care.

Diane has lived in Wheaton since 1978. After five years in the elementary school system and thirteen years at home with her four children, she became director of youth ministries at First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, where she discerned a call to full-time ministry and received her Master of Divinity in 2008. She is a certified Stephen Minister, has facilitated grief and cancer support groups, volunteers at the Outreach Community Food Pantry, and hosts a monthly women's group. Following the death of her husband of 45 years in 2021, she serves as a pastoral liaison between the Center and area churches.
